Our Lab

Our laboratory is on the 4th floor of Otto Maass building (room 429):

One of our three optical breadboard tables in our optics laboratory

It is currently configured for acquiring kinetic data by visible absorption spectroscopy in samples held in a Diamond Anvil Cell, used to generate extremely high pressures.

A Coherent water-cooled argon ion-laser

Our most powerful laser, it is a powerful light source for a variety of ultraviolet and visible wavelengths. The high beam quality, long coherence length, and power of the beam generated makes this laser useful for holography, as well as a myriad of other applications.
